My name is Lia Roques. I’m a French professional legal translator with a Master’s degree in Translation and a specialization in Legal Translation.
Following a fifteen-year career in the world of opera, I chose to return to my lifelong passion for languages and writing by transitioning into translation. Having lived in both London and the United States for several years, I possess a deep, nuanced understanding of English-speaking cultures.
I work with high-profile clients, including international organizations such as the International Court of Justice and the International Atomic Energy Agency, as well as law firms and major banking institutions. Committed to professional development and driven by a desire to serve causes I value, I have completed advanced training in Human Rights (University of Geneva) and International Humanitarian Law (University Côte d’Azur/Peace and Development Institute).
My approach is rooted in the tradition of the experts who trained me: terminological precision, stylistic excellence, and seamless readability.
